global south

2011-2012, Poster Design

Poster series celebrates the aesthetic of Latin American revolt in the 1960's, which defined revolt not simply as confrontation, change, and mutation, but as the return of ideas, practices, and movements.

Stylistically inspired by anti-colonial aesthetics, and primarily focusing on Chilean and Cuban schools of design, this series aims to rupture Eurocentric conventions of ‘form and function’ in favor of a visual language that is more in tune and representative of the Global South.
